Imagine Boka

“Imagine Boka” is a photographic exhibition that transcends the boundaries of reality, blurring the lines between fact and fiction, past and present. Curated by Andrija Kovač, this thought-provoking collection of AI–generated images explores imagined, alternative histories of Boka Kotorska in the 1970s and 1980s — its people, places, customs, and traditions.

Driven by a curiosity for understanding Boka Bay’s cultural heritage, “Imagine Boka” invites viewers to question their perceptions of authenticity, reevaluate the subjective nature of memory, and recognize the fluidity of historical narratives. The exhibition simultaneously elicits the transformative power of artificial intelligence in amplifying our collective imagination and the implications the technology may have in reshaping both our past and our future.
